Community gatherings & events
Throughout the year we have a 50/50 raffle at each meeting. 50% of the proceeds go directly to the scholarship fund.
Each December, we hold a calendar raffle, where 100% of the proceeds of ticket sales for donated items go toward the scholarship fund.
Scholarships
Our largest annual event
Each May, the Greater Lawrence Italian Women’s Club awards scholarships to graduating seniors in the Merrimack Valley. Applications are issued to each school in early December.
High School seniors of Italian descent attending a college or university pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree may apply.
ApplicationS FOR the 2024-2025 school year
Applications will be accepted from students attending the following schools: Lawrence High, Methuen High, Andover High, North Andover High, Central Catholic, and Greater Lawrence Technical school.
Applications will also be accepted from relatives of current active members of GLIWC who do not attend the above schools, but fall into the student criteria.
Deadline for application is on or before midnight March 1, 2025. Submissions after that date will not be accepted.
